Job Summary: Are you a night owl? If so, this may be the ideal job for you! We are the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott, located in Alexandria, Minnesota, USA. The starting wage for this position ranges from $16.00-$17.00 per hour, based on experience. There will be a performance review after an initial 90-day probation period. The hours for this shift are 10:00 PM-6:00 AM. These hours are generally very calm and peaceful; ideal for completing your work-checklist with minimal distractions. This is a Marriott property and as such requires the highest standards of cleanliness, service and professionalism at all times. We are looking for a Night Auditor to print reports of daily business activity, according to the shift-checklist. He or she will comply with and maintain files and reset systems for next day operations/functions. This person will spend at least 50% of each shift working on laundry. You will be fully supported by coworkers and management. The training period is thorough, and will require two to three full weeks of training on non-audit shifts. We will not rush you through the process. The successful candidate will become part of a wonderful, close-knit team that support one another. This hotel is an extremely pleasant place to work. Benefits * Competitive Pay * Paid Time Off * Employee Rate Discounts at all Marriott Hotels. * Team Work Environment Responsibilities * Greet, assist and register guests upon arrival into the computer system, verifying reservation information * Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints. Communicate all guests needs to next shift * Verify that all charges (room rates, discounts, etc.) are assigned to the appropriate departments/guest accounts * Prepare daily reports as required by management * Prepare End of Day procedure * Perform other duties and responsibilities asked by the General Manager and the Assistant General Manager based upon hotel needs * General Cleaning of Public Areas and restrooms * Laundry is the majority of the time on this shift * The hours for this shift are 10 PM-6 AM Other: Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. As a Night Auditor, your attendance is especially important, as your teammates are sleeping during those hours. If you call-in, someone with hours during the business day will have to cover your shift, resulting in a worker shortage during the next business day. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules and holidays to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with all rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Education Requirements: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Work Environment/Physical Requirements: Inside with protection from weather but not necessarily changes in temperature. Physical activities include standing for long periods of time. Walking, talking, seeing, hearing, reaching, bending, grasping and holding. Considerable repetitive motion of hands, fingers and wrists as pertains to the operation of a computer keyboard. Requires working all night time hours. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
