Working with the support of the Director of Athletics, the Head Coach is responsible for developing all swimmers in the program in and out of the pool through a championship caliber environment, an open door for competition and development of skills, character, and leadership at all levels.

The winter season runs from November 5, 2025 to February 20, 2026 . Practices are held several days a week, Monday through Friday, from approximately 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. This is a stipend-paid position reporting directly to the Director of Athletics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed in relation to the position. This is not a comprehensive listing of all the responsibilities or tasks; other duties may be assigned when deemed appropriate:

• Coaches’ individual participants in mechanics, film study and skills necessary to compete at the highest level possible.
• Communicate with other coaches outside the ISL to schedule in-season meets as needed.
• Coordinate and supervise a regular schedule of practice.
• Encourage sportsmanship, team unity, and enforce all sportsmanship guidelines.
• Enforce discipline of contests, school, league and state rules and regulations.
• Supervise assistant coaches and enhance their professional development.
• Attend the required coaches’ meetings and conference pre- and post-season meetings.
• Provide and display a willingness to work with the Athletics Department, administration, staff, student- athletes, and parents.
• Support swimmers in the college selection and recruiting process.

Requirements

Below are the qualifications for this position:

• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, coaches, and community. Experience coaching/participating in swimming at the high school or collegiate level. Knowledge of applicable league rules.
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
